Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Inflammatory Bowel Disease, IBD, is the inflammation of the large intestines and in some instances the small intestines. Please note IBD is not the same as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, IBS.

While there are many types of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are the most common.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease may be associated with the following symptoms vomiting, diarrhea, hematochezia, weight loss amongst others.
